Natasha King

Natasha assists in the delivery of the Contextual Studies programme at Central, and tutors students in study skills, academic writing and research. She also manages the library and learning resources and coordinates support for students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs). Natasha also manages the Student Representatives, and the development of staff and postgraduate research activity within the school.

After a brief performing career in ballet and contemporary companies, she obtained an MSc (Distinction) in Dance Science from University of Bedfordshire, with a focus on Nutrition and Dance Psychology in dance education. With over 16 years’ experience as a dance educator, she upheld Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance, and currently maintains an active research profile in the dance science community. Her involvement as a member of the Dance Educators Committee for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) also combines her passions for dance education, science and research.
